This time, click on the
direct object
. While doing so, try to form a hypothesis about the usual position of the direct object in English sentences.

  1. Florian called Simone to tell her about Flaw and Order.

  2. Simone did not pick up the phone.

  3. Florian remembered Simone's weekly dancing lessons on Thursdays.

  4. He decided to switch on his computer and familiarize himself with the functional constituents of English sentences.

  5. He opened Flaw and Order, which he had installed on his PC by then.

  6. The day after, he told Simone something funny he had come across in Flaw and Order.

  7. He told her that the course began with a story about someone just like him and his problems with English constituent order.
